Default Need trailer help nearish Cape Cod (South Coast)

I hauled my 20 down to the South Coast (that's South and West of Cape Cod) and my trailer is shot. It won't get home as-is. Years of galvanized paint fooled me. I either need all new spring hangers for a tandem, or a new trailer. I wonder if there is local intel on dealers or a repair place. Considering selling it as a short haul "cape trailer" for a 20 or 23 and getting new. I think it was a 7000 lb trailer I derated to 4990 for tax purposes. I haul 60-150 miles at a shot, so the lights and bearings work.

Specifically Tiverton, RI/ Westport MA. But I can haul to Wareham MA or RI if I need to.

Thanks! Need to get this resolved in a week, ideally.

RT 6 Marine in Dartmouth would be a good starting place.

I seem to remember someone mentioned to me once that Kent's Welding in the 'Ham had done some trailer work for them at some point. Might want to check it out.

If it just needs spring hangers that is an easy job with an impact wrench / breaker bar and some jackstands. The hangers are easy to get via any of the online trailer parts I put all new springs / hangers / ubolts / roller axles on my 25 year old ez loader two years ago and it was an easy job.

if you want to haul it down to Falmouth I could loan you the stuff to do it.

If your looking for a new trailer there is a guy in Mashpee that constantly posts on C.L. with new / used trailers.

Thanks for the tips, guys. I will check out rte 6 marine. I have welded on hangers on a long plate that holds the middle equalizer and the ends.

I might go aluminum bunk if it costs too much to fix. Then take the good parts off it. LED lights and stuff.I don't know yet.

And thanks for the offers of help, too!

I'll know better what kind of mess I am in tomorrow.

Just saw this south Attleboro marine is where I got my trailer and they were great to deal with
Depending on timing and how you make out I could pick it up and meet you somewhere to save you traveling

Thanks for the offers and help everyone. I ordered a RoadKing from Bayside marine. Aluminum bunk with discs. Nobody will fix mine. $1000 less than a Load-Rite on the cape.

I might have a "cape trailer" for someone. Newish dual 3500lb axles, brakes, tires, - it has rollers . With welding, it would fit a 20 or 23. Otherwise it gets scrapped.
