I got a nasty email from a gent who evidently paid $25 so he could post a "wanted to buy" ad here. This person was downright rude about it and wanted a refund of his $25 (of which I refunded immediately and never would of accepted had i known that is what it was for but I missed that)
I dont understand why some folks can not read and or follow the rules, its easy. The guy went on and on how its not fair that people post want to buy parts and other items yet he can't post a want to buy boat. Its pretty simple what the difference its.....want to buy parts does not take away from those that posted parts for sale, why? because it is free to post parts here If you post a want to buy ad for a Boat then anyone can reply, including those that did not pay for a boat listing, so why should they get access to you while and undermine the ads of those that paid for an ad and supported the site? All of what I state above is written down or has been discussed multiple times before, its just not that hard to understand? is it? I am open ears and will happily change things if someone has a better way of doing it? I just do not think a one time fee of $25 to sell a boat on this site and to support this site (which it does) is that bad a deal. And to the gent that got all pissy with me about this policy, thanks for the support...oh wait I refunded your money.....so i take that back, and the kicker to this is I know where there are 2 of the boats he is looking for (20' Lefty Krey's) are located and available...... |

Psssst, Mr. Trayder, I was wonder'in 'bout a couple of things and I don't want to set off no Verbal Abuse Claymore wit nobody 'bout da' $25 fees. Let's just say hypothetically dat' someone was hunt'in for some boat accessories. I ain't talkin 'bout no hydralic jack plate or Hermco bracket, just somethin' 'bout like the size of a rod holder. But it might look like say for instance a tall spun aluminum drink cup - or somethin like dat. Not sayin dats what it is, but say somethin like dat. An what if coincidently, it had a boat name on it like say just fur instance "No Bones". An you was just wonderin if somebody here on this site could help a brother out and tell him where he could find such a fine vessel - no not that kind of vessel - a "drinking" Vessel. (whew, I almost heard the hammer drop)
Anyways, iffen I was to inquire 'bout something like that and it was a new product, how much would it set me back to satisfy my quest for data? Or would you just recommend I steal Ken's at the Gathering and just re-name my boat "No-Bone" and fix the glass wit my pocket knife. Thank you in advance for you guidance in this delicate area. |
