Default Charlotte Auto Fair

Spent a few days at the Charlotte Auto Fair this past weekend. This is one of the largest if not largest car shows, swap meet, parts sell, auto auction, vendor displays on the east coast. I started going years ago with my father and haven't been in a few years and found my way back this fall. They have a larger spring show each year and a fall show as well. There wont be a larger collection of old rare collector cars, muscle cars, or sports cars in one place on the east coast as there is here each year. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is filled inside with people selling cars, car / truck parts and just about any thing you can imagine. The outside of the track has several sections full of stuff for sale as well not to mention many car clubs, show sections, vendor displays and much more. It takes several days to walk down the areas and see it all. The track has old rare classics to new sports cars for sale all the way around as well as a large auction going on under a big tent in the infield. I enjoyed looking at all of it as well as picked up a few things for my c-10 project. The rain slowed it up this year but cant wait to go back this spring. Here are a few pics of the show with a site map to show just how big this is. I managed to find a pair of new front fenders for my c-10, an 9" ford rear-end housing, pair of new Mickey Thompson wide street tires and even a like new Mercury Mirage ss prop!

Wow! That is pretty cool. Reminds me of the old Dania Marine Flea Market but on a smaller scale.

I hear ya frizz...

Ever been to Daytona Turkey Run at the big "D" Thanksgiving week ?
The whole speedway inside and out is filled !
It takes two days to get through it to some degree..

Ormond Beach, FL. the Birthplace of Speed has a gas light parade on Saturday night
which goes for miles and miles of all the old cars showing off..
