Just purchased 23' ft SeaCraft Sceptre
Just wanted to stop in and make my first post. Thank you all- I have been utilizing this forum constantly while making the decision to join the classic Seacraft community with my purchase. I have no doubt that I made a great decision in this boat thanks to the public information I have discovered on this site and around the boat net. Since purchasing the boat I have received positive comments every time I have trailered it, and every time I stop in to the marina to do work on the boat.
The craft is powered by a Mercruiser 5.7 L V-8 Just finishing installing Garmin 547xs, transom mount transducer, updating antenna bracket (last one could not be laid down), installing GPS antenna. Removing old humming bird fishfinder and ancient Garmin Maps series. Connecting and bracketing bilge switch for Rule 800. Upcoming projects: -clean and refurbish teak -bow railing (trying to find a good place in Virginia Beach to get material) -custom canvas around hard top (only has the front canvas which is falling apart-no side canvas) -repaint deck (with some good non-skid) -outriggers - need to do something with the metal bump rail around the craft (no refurb possible) if you guys have any ideas on that, that would be great. I will be doing a lot of work tomorrow and am going to take several pics for progress. All of your help and future help is very much appreciated! Great to be here! |
