Default Trailer recommendation

I need a trailer for a 2006 SC20. Does anyone here know the true weight of the boat. I am looking for an aluminum trailer with at least 14" wheels. Does anyone here have a recommendation on a good trailer.

Not sure where you are but Owens and Sons, Aluminum Slide-On, is damn close to the best, custom built to your hull and less expensive than a generic cookie cutter. Ask me how I know. Check it out for yourself.

I have the same boat. My trailer is a ez loader 2003 model. It's a great one.
The dry hull weight of your boat is 1600-1800. With gas and a four stroke you are around 3k pounds

Short drive. Here's the deal. Jeff knows SeaCraft hulls very well. He will measure distance between outer chines and build, bend aluminum I-Beams to that measurement. Then he secures pressure treated bunks directly over the I-Beams, and hull is locked in, carrying all weight on the I-Beams themselves, and transferring weight down to torsion axles. The weight of the load is not sitting on adjustable bunks secured to cross members of all the generic cookie cutter trailers out there. And cheaper, including all Stainless Steel, led lights, spare hub and wheel mount. He even uses heavy grade extension cord for wiring, which is standard. You will not believe the quality. A twenty usually requires a random and brakes on one axle in Florida. Jeff is the knowledge, his sister Kim runs the office, and can't think of brothers name who runs production. Located in St. Pete. You owe yourself a call into them after completing your research. I've owned three, my brother has one under his 18 SF and two other neighbors have purchased after seeing mine.

Vezo.

Were you impressed? I may even be able to deliver it for you. Have friends I need to see in Palm (City?), very close to Jupiter/Stuart.

Michael.

I saw that you got involved in the trailer manufacturers recommendations on THT. You'll be stoked with that trailer. Actually, I may have something that you are interested in. I have a 11-2015 Owens and Sons that was designed for a 197 Pioneer. It is a little wider than most of my SeaCraft bunks. I bought it to set my Seafari on, but the bunks would rest on my clamshells, which cause the syphoning effect for draining deck. So I may have to use it for my 20 MA.

Anyway this trailer has every available option from Owens, except spare tire mount. Dual torsion axle with brakes on BOTH axles. Jeff agrees it is overbuilt. The trailer made one round trip to the Keys, and that's it. I have all paperwork for it, total build was $42++.00. I have $3500 in it. Yours should come in under $3k for dual axles. Mine even has a $275 "Stripper Pole" as Jeff calls it, mounted near the tongue for bow access. It's loaded. Jeff will remember the trailer, he had his hands on the build sheet last spring when I bought it. Just a thought.

Michael.
