Default Question for I/0 sceptre owners

Question
Hello,
On my sceptre I looked very closely on where the engine mounts to the engine bed (see picture around transducer). Is there woodcore in that engine bed or do you think it’s solid glass? Does mine look original in picture or to hard to tell?
Thanks
DInge

That does not look like the beds on my '76. Here is a pic of the original ones with a small section added to fit the mounts on the 5.7 which replaced the 351 ford (233 Mercruiser). The beds were just horizontal 2x6's with another section ripped for the vertical part and were open on the bottoms - and very waterlogged/rotten.

Thank you sir. Yea I agree. Mine must have been redone by previous. They look pretty beefed up. Mine is a 1979 so I’m assuming it would look close to yours. Cheers
