Default carrie bearing

I started to change my water pump and noticed that the carrier bearing is cracked. Do I need a new lower unit or just a carrier bearing?

I bought one from Crowley marine in Denver. Received the part in 3 days, $3.95 shipping. The Mercury is up and running.
