Default 1976 23ft Sceptre Project

Long short story. So happy to be allowed into the forum, and hello! I have read nearly every post on the website. Seriously. 15-20 hours worth.
Short version - My brother in law in Seattle informed me he had decided to get his boat out of his sideyard, and was willing to give it away. Being a huge fan of older classic cars, I researched the boat. Turns out it is a 1976 SeaCraft Sceptre OB. On a pretty serviceable trailer.
I am in Portland, so I head up the I-5 to see the boat. It has been parked for about 10 years, and has lost its luster, but was a running happy camper when it was shipped up from Florida and parked there.
So I hire a Marine Surveyor to check the boat out. Turns out it is as one might expect a restoration project. (I have the report, it is short, but available to anyone with questions) So I look into the process. This is where I mention I am not a boater. My wife will not allow the boat in our driveway and it wouldn't fit in the garage.
I would hate for the boat to go to scrap - there are just too few of them, and only 6 of this combo were made in 1976. If i remember my research correctly.
I will post the boat for sale, but I really just would like to recover costs associated with new trailer tires, the Marine Survey.
My real hope is that this boat can get back in the water and be a runner again!
