Default Console Repair Question

What is the best way to go about filling in and restoring all the large holes on my console where the radio used to be and where the pieces of starboard currently are? Thanks.

If it was me and I wanted it right and matching in color I would remove the console completely. Glass the holes and any rotten core with a dense composite like bluewater coosa and shoot the entire console with Awlgrip. Anything makeshift patch job will likely look worst than the starboard.

This was my assumption. I just would rather get a season or two more out of the boat before I go tearing it apart. Because I know once I take the console off ,the floor will most likely need to be repaired and then that leads to the transom and then a bracket and everything else.

Thanks for the advice. Looks like some starboard patches might be the way to go for another year.
