switching the coils around didnt help,so i run a can of merc carbon cleaner thru the motor and run it hard for 15 minutes. i will know tomorrow when i try it.Im wondering if hotter plugs would help....

merc help
i have lost 2 cylinders on my 89 seacraft 200 merc carb motor,both on the left bank,replaced batteries,filters,changed plugs,compression reads 115 to 120 on all cylinders even switched the powerpacks...

SP tanks built the original tank in my 89 23 seacraft, should be the same as yours. Replaced mine about 2 years ago.Called them up told them i was repair shop,they went from 890 to 590 and shipped...

mine is a 89 23cc with a ttop i redone 3 years ago, rebuilt the transom with marine ply,recored the decks and cap with marine ply from the bottom side. But i still have the original 200 merc black...

Been there Done that, My boat is an 89 23cc. There are no drains in the stringers all they done was put a 3in notch in the stringers at the transom, it will still hold 3 0r more gallons on each side....

I thought i saw a sales ad from birdsall marine for a console and integrated ttop together for under 4 grand. give them a call, they do most of the new seacraft ttops and leaning post now i believe....

You can inject all the epoxy you want into the floor, but all that rotten,wet,balsa turnt to mush will still be in there.Like Fellowship said when in doubt cut it out. Spend a few days on it and fix...

looking at the engine it has a 5,8 ford volvo efi motor in it. I dont think they had efi in 76, somebody had spent some money to upgrade the powerplant. Les
