My exhaust came out of the transom right at the water line, just a c-hair in the water, with a flapper. I then ran the exhaust just under the deck with a muffler. An exhaust riser from an I/O was...

I don't think a little delam.. will hurt much, but if a small area it can always be fixed easily from the outside. I like to pull a through transom bolt and use a flashlight and screwdriver to see...

What you could do at this point is take 2by stock and notch it out 1/2 or 3/4 by 2 inches depending on how wide the "stringer" is next to the tank. Now the notched out area sits down on the existing...

I just went back and review pics of my inboard project and here's what I remember. When recoring I asked about the squares as well and did not go that route. I used Peske board (which is good IMO)...

I'm not sure what others do or if mine is done correctly but I: epoxied tanks, set in place on small foam squares where I wanted it, then poured Stepan 2 part foam 3/4 the way up the tanks, done.

Seastar helm rebuild?

I'm coming to the final stages of a seacraft build, with a lot of thanks to the site, and I'm thinking about wiring. I've wiring smaller skiffs and kept everything clean and simple with no problems...

Installing cap, Question

I removed the cap to re-core it and its getting closer to be reinstalled. When it was removed it had 5200 in areas where there were gaps but, mostly a black sealant, which I don't know what it was....

Roger, What you have to say also makes sense. What I was dealing with appeared to be plywood squares. I chissled out the bulk of it then ground out the rest. I noticed it was plywood. Is replacing it...

Coring Question

This may be a ridiculous question but: Does anyone have any theories or definitely know why Seacrafts were cored using numerous squares? Why not use larger pieces? Thanks

I have a 20cc seacraft. When I first put the boat in the water I put a df140 on it, it was great until I put a df150 big block on it. What a difference I would never recommend a 140 to anyone again....
