Keep an eye on craigslist. There's a guy in Pembroke that puts Bennetts for sale pretty frequently (every month or so)for way below retail. I got a complete set from him for $275.

Are you using MEKP (Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide)or just MEK (Methyl Ethyl Ketone)?

Without the Peroxide, it won't kick. (I found this out the hard way!)

Since you're putting on a bracket, the leaning post version may be the better option because it won't compound the added weight you're already adding aft.

I saw a guy with a similar set up off Gay Head last summer during the comm. bass season. His wasn't nearly as clean as yours though.
