Re: motor weights, too much?

150 will be great on the boat, you'll love the power.

I realized an error in my numbers, that was about 18nm, not miles or about 20 statute miles, so about 4mpg...

Have fun with the new engine!

Re: motor weights, too much?

I had a Yammy 175 carbed two stroke, it was about 420 lbs or so and I thought that was too much weight on my 20CC. I repowered with a Etec 115. Weight is good, no water comming in the scuppers.

Re: Transducer placement location 20cc?

I didn't cut my cable. When it was on the transom I ran it through the wiring duct from the console to the transome bilge then ran the wire out the engine cable exit and over the transom. (Actually...

Re: Leaning Post / Trailer tires/ Safety Kit/ ETC.

How much are you asking for the leaning post? Where are you located? I wonder what it would cost to ship to Hawaii.. :)

Re: Transducer placement location 20cc?

Interesting, I tried mine there and changed the heights and tried it outboard from there about 3" in from the next chine but just couldn't stop the bubbles from interfering at anything above 1200 rpm...

Re: engine weight

My 2008 Etec 115 weighs about 375. I added a leg extension kit to a 20" to make it 25". I heard they are comming out with a 130.. probably the same weight and block etc..

Re: Transducer placement location 20cc?

These pictures are not the greatest, I had to take them at night with the flash so it was hard to get a good shot. I might be able to take some before work tomorrow.

Here is the water tight...

Re: Antenna vs. Bimini?

I have a 20 CC with a bimini. I mounted my antena on the starbord rear corner of the boat, about 6" forward of where the transom boxes come accross, about 1 1/2 foot in from of the transon. Mine is...

Re: Transducer placement location 20cc?

Thanks Loyd...
I spent the day remounting it, tried to mount in the aft bilge under the false transom but it is so difficult to work in with only the small round screw plate in the stern/engine...

Transducer placement location 20cc?

Where does everyone mount their transducers? I have tried a few places on the transom making sure it was properly inline with the bottom of the boat to reduce bubbles. When I get above about 1200...

Re: Another Prop ?

I have a 115 E-tec running a 15p on my 20 CC, seems just about right for my boat. I also think the 17p will be a good fit for your boat with the 150hp.

Re: 20 Master Angler 115 ETEC v. 150 ETEC

Grady,
Did you get your 150? So far I am really happy with the performance of the 115. I had 4 people in the boat and really couldn't tell much difference from when it was just me alone. I also...

Re: 20 Master Angler 115 ETEC v. 150 ETEC

I just put an Etec 115 on my 20ft SF. I haven't had time to really use it yet but it runs fine, plenty of get up and go. (I used to have a Yamaha 175 on it..) I like the lighter weight as the SF...

Re: yamaha F150 and a 20' seacraft

I had a carbed 6 cyl Yamaha 175, weighed about 419lbs on my 20 with a 25" transom. The boat ran great with it though the engine may have been a little heavy when stopped. Two people in the stern and...

Re: SF20 gas tank dimensions

Muddywater,
My tank is 7' 10" long and 22" wide, not sure of the depth as it is foamed in. I'd guess about 10" or more in the middle. I think it holds about 75 gallons.

Kamikaze,
I have no problems dropping the lower unit and changing water pumps etc.. What do you use to ream out the midsection so that the shaft extension will fit through? It may become obvious...

Re: SF20 gas tank dimensions

What size tank are you looking for? I have a 75gal tank in mine. The specs for this boat on this site say 47 gal is standard. My tank is about 6 feet long and one inch too wide (can't get it out of...

Re: Prop Size for 115 hp on 20 CC

skippertee and all, thanks for the responses. I ordered a viper 14x15" prop. I'll post later when I get the boat running how it performs, may be a while though.

Re: Etec 115 hp shaft extention question

Thanks all for your responses. The dealer is shipping a Bay Extension kit. When it comes I guess I will need to find an official "dealer" to install it to maintain the warranty from Bay. I spoke...

How to remove fuel tank from a sf20?

I have my boat apart and want to check the 75Gal fuel tank in my sf20. It appears the opening is about 1 inch too narrow to lift the tank out. (Why would someone design such a thing?). Is foamed...

Engine extension kits - Bay Manufacturing

Has anyone installed a Bay Manufacturing extension? I will need to install one on my new Etec 115 (don't ask why, ughh!) Was it diffucult? Any issues? Are they reliable?

Thanks

Etec 115 hp shaft extention question

Etec 115 HP:
The dealer shipped a 20" instead of the 25" and won't pay for the double shipping to return the engine and ship the one that I ordered. So, I have to install an extention. The 20"...
