Looking good! I knew you would like that motor, it transformed the way my boat handles. It's great how flat it runs, right? I run the factory Suzuki 3 blade stainless 14x18 with a cup added. I can...

Just read this thread. If you had the low pressure pumps replaced and had one fail already make sure they aren't Mallory brand pumps. I made the mistake of buying a set and having them fail. Total...

I know you can do it and be happy with the results. I run a new generation Suzuki 90 25" on the transom of an 18'. I can cruise at 28 mph and top out at 38 mph light. More weight drops cruise to...

The 20' and 18' are wet too. I'd love to get a 32. Great looks, engines on transom, flat floor, modern construction. How much would it cost to add really nice custom spray rails? The 32' with an...

I followed this guy's build and really liked a lot of the things he was doing at the time. You leave yourself very exposed when you basically blog an entire build and it's easy to criticize with...

I would go with the 5 gallon aluminum tank. Make sure you mount it in a way that positions one of the ports at the bottom of the tank so you can drain it. Any filters are really just to protect the...

I have one of those things. I attached a 6' snorkel that has my dive flag zip tied to it. Best thing I did was attach a real muffler off of a motorcycle to it to make it bearable for the guy keeping...

I have to agree with what's been said. Look at balancing out your boat by moving what you can forward. My 18' rides, floats and planes out great with a relatively light motor on a cutout transom. I...

That motor has a 2:1 lower unit and will swing a 19. 5500 rpm, 19", 15% slip gives you 42 mph.

A good starting point would be a factory Yamaha 19" prop. They're some kind of semi cleaver with good stern lift. Then, if you need to, you can have it re-pitched up or down ... probably down if...

I think any Seacraft fan owes it to themselves to experience the performance of this hull with a very light outboard. Light, I can cruise mine at 28 mph and top out at 38 mph. More of a load and I...

I like that water tank idea! How many gallons were you able to fit up there? Should help balance that bracket nicely.

Hey Blue Heron, I think you got it backwards. A higher pitched prop turning lower rpm is more efficient than the other way around. OP, you're propped for a theoretical max speed of 54mph which you...

There's still something wrong with that equation. No way do you have 30-35% prop slip.

I'd have that prop measured to be sure it's a 26" prop. Speed seems about right for that combo.

You've got some other problems. The df175 has a 2.5:1 lower unit and should easily swing at least a 20" prop. My 18' with a df90 which has a 2.59:1 lower unit ratio runs a cupped 18" prop to 6300 rpm.

When I bought my 18 it had a carbed merc 150 and the 20" transom. It felt unsafe rigged like that. When I redid the boat the transom was raised, console moved forward, tank moved forward, batteries...

No reason to use 5200 if you're just running a bead around the outside of your bracket. Use the 4200UV fast cure which won't sag as much and obviously cure faster. Taping is important and I use...

I don't know and wouldn't want to do the work just to find out, but why do most people think it's okay to completely screw up the boat's intended design with a bracket? I imagine you could get 4 feet...

1998 Suzuki DT150 EFI $1000

Can't really help you with numbers as he doesn't have any fuel management hooked up. It tops out around 40 mph.
