While cleaning up the boat, I cleaned the fuel tank specs plate. It states that it is a 150 gal tank, mfg 1998 for SeaCraft.It must be original. If it is a 150 gal tank, how come the brochures say...

BTW etec would be my choice for repower. I am running a Yamaha LF250on my SeaCraft23; it is smooth and reliable, but the etec is lighter and faster.

What I want to know, is this, Can I scuff up the thin layer that is on there and get by with just bottom paint? Would a "99 SeaCraft23 be expected to absorb water or develop blisters?
