How would I know if the brass tube through the floor scuppers need replacement. They look okay, no pitting, looseness.

albemarle put a couple of these vw diesels (TDI)

in their 24 ft. center consoles. Maybe check with them. It is not really the horsepower but rather the torque that you are interested in.
