I have an 18 pounder on my 20’, no chain and on a windless. Maybe a little overkill for my boat, but it holds well in ripping currents sandy or muddy bottoms.

Paint combo

Just to give you a visual. Just painted mine with the Matterhorn white and whisper grey. Non-skid on the bracket hasn't been done yet. I think it'll look good with a black rub rail.
