Console and t top may be shaking because the deck is not bonded to the stringers when the liner was put in..it was an issue I fixed on my 21 when I put the new tank in.

There is no wood in that 21..night and day difference between the two. Having previously owned 2 20's and now a 21 the 20 feels more like a skiff to me now.

The newer 20 was popped from a 69’ 20’ mild, the 21 is actually 20’ 4” marketed as a 21 and just assuming it was a new mold as was the 25 and 32, never seen anything about the 23

I rebuilt an 85' 20 it was a solid boat, Seacraft Industries was building them then same goes for 84'...you should have no problem as far as initial build quality goes but it is a 30 yr old boat

The beam on the 21 is 8' and 24" of freeboard aft, the 23 is 8 2" not sure of freeboard but I would assume its also more, sitting in the water the 23 is taller

The cracks in the gelcoat on decks (some more than others) is from the deck flexing because of lack of contact with the deck/putty/stringers, more voids means more flexing/cracking.

Yeah that's a bummer but look on the bright side it gives you a reason to buy a new motor:)
