I'm not here to argue but I have several friends with thottle bodies and they wanted me to repower with direct injection since they didn't have one. They mostly own See Vee's inboard's and no problem...

I usually have three people and all the gear, full tanks and cooler of ice. The motor will turn up to 4600 rpm, which it is supposed to do and turning aa 16 X 16 prop, had to have it changed a little...

I have a 350/315HP Marine Power and @ 3100 run around 26-27 MPH by my GPS and I run 34 (68 total) miles each way to some wrecks out of Rudee Inlet, VA. Beach and burn on a good day around 31-33...

That sounds like a old friend's SEACRAFT with a full transom and from VA Beach, VA. He did that since had a 225 before and figured this would be a good set-up.

I stand corrected the prop I have is a 17 X 17. My fuel gauge at 3100 read's I'm using 9.5 GPH. I do turn 4600 RPM.
I guess being retired and old I need to double check things more often.

Mine has a 350 CARB, 315 HP and I have a 16 X 16 with a little playing with the cup to get the correct RPM 4600.
I usually run at 26 around 3100 RPM and 37 wide open with 3 people on it and get on...

Classic Mako just had a paint from Supermarine that sounds great, I might try some on my old 17 MAKO (77 ANGLER 135 HP), e-mail me if you can't find it, they have a one stage paint that sounds good...
