I paid extra for aluminum wheels once that looked great for a few months. When they started to errode it was fast! Maybe dissimilar metals in salt water, I dont know but it's galvanized now for me.

Yeah, if I were doing it over I would buy just a solid anchor roller. If I c-clamp mine together to essentially make it one piece the anchor drops fine and I am using a Fortress aluminum...

I also have mine mounted inside and shooting through the hull. I used Marine-Tex to epoxy it to the inside hull in the bilge, just off center by 4" to 5", working out all the air as it sets....
