yes its knots, the good #s maybe the gear ratio in the v- drive or the prop. if u live local we can put my prop on ur boat and see what she'll turn

My '75 Sceptre inboard cruises 20knots @ 2800rpm and tops out at 30knots @ 3400rpm with a Marine Power 350/260HP and 16x16 prop. The boat is fairly light with only 65 gallons of fuel capacity.
