Default Re: Factory Installed Bracket?

He's asking $20,900. I checked it out this past weekend. The blocks of wood on the trialer are just the wheel chocks left there because it's tough to get them into the hull since they weight so much. The hull is in superior shape. The trim tabs are not parallel to the ground and look properly installed. He and the owner insist the GIL bracket was factory installed. The bracket itself was a bit suspect. There was obvious corrosion around some of the welds and I would forever be worried about that. The owner replaced the decks and did a good job. There are no soft spots and he also pulled the fuel cell and did a pressure test/inspection before putting it back in. The engine has a low-hour rebuilt powerhead (not "new" as advertised). The skeg issue was kind ofworrisome and below decks I noticed water seeping from a joint betweena bulkehead and the deck the the fuel tank sits on. It appears there is a channel under the fuel tank that is designed to allow water to flow under the tank so it doesn't rot the tank. There's a small hole through the bulkead that the water is suppoed to flow through and down into the bilge. It looks like that small hole clogs easily with debris and the water has found a way into the bilge through a separation there. I couldn't really test the wood in there for rot, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was some. I basically decided the 23 SC is just too big for my needs and am going to settle for something smaller.Ideally I can find a nice clean 21 somewhere. if anyone is interested in checking out this one it's at.
