Yup,you got that right.
I found that out when I put new seats in after the restoration.I tried the seats out in the garage by placing them up on five gallon buckets etc,and I wasn't crazy about the way it felt.
But,once we got them set at height in the boat and got the foot rests in a proper height, It really did make a world of difference. they were a much more comfortable fit.

It's funny, everyone on my boat loves to sit in the cheapest seat.It's a folding canvas camp/lawn chair that I got at Costco for about 15.00 bucks.
It's on the port side,about in the middle of the boat.We all know that the ride in the Tsunami's/Sceptre's are great in the rough,but that seat in the middle is the best when its snotty.
