The ones in the above picture are very similar to the original ones installed on my 89 SeaCraft 23WA and they work great as long as you don't wash a big chunck of herring or other bait down them and it gets stuck. Easily cleaned out w/a hose though.
The Seasports are mfg's here in town and they have used the ping pong balls style for years and the seems to work well also. I would be tempted to install the 3/4 inch ones in my engine well to keep water from coming in the drain holes. The deck plate in the engine well is cracked and leakes like a sieve letting water get inside the hull sometimes. Not a real big problem, just a nuisance.
