My 1999 250hp does it also.
BTW: I don't know about Scott but just like the gas pump noise, the "Cling Cling" noise for every turn of the prop in my engine signifies approx $5.78 an hour @ 4000 rpms [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]
