Thanks for all your help and especially for that layout link.
Noticed earlier in this post that you identified a boat as pre-1972. How did you know that? I've searched the board for clues but haven't found any yet. And can you help me understand what the bailing issues are with these boats. |

It's probably the metal SeaCraft emblem that makes it at least older then 1972. I appreciate the comments on this thread.

The reason I am asking is that I have found a 69 model for sale nearby that I am going to look at next week. I'd like to be as informed as possible before I get there. Did those old boats have a hull id on the transom? Any other identifying marks to help me know if it is genuine and the guys story about it checks out?
