I found it somewhat difficult to get insurance with many companies on a boat as old as mine (1971 20' hull). Even with current survey in hand, most companies I approached didn't want to insure boats older than 10 years.

I ended up sticking with Allstate as they were the company that I had it insured with prior to the redo. With current survey assessing value at $38K, my annual full replacement coverage runs right around $900.

I also had a hard time finding someone who would insure an older boat. I went with BOATUS insurance. Have had them for 5 years- I also did not need a survey

I also have Progressive, they didn't require a survey either and was the most economical.
