Here is a picture of the ladder. It's really nice if it works correctly. I would like to build another and if anyone has some insight as to how - I'd like to hear about it. Main requirements: light, durable, maintenance-free, foldable.

I'd use starboard side rails and wood treads, unless you need it lighter - then use all wood. Teak with oil is pretty maintenance free.
