My friend, you and your shop are doing an outstanding (repeat "outstanding") job on this project. Absolutely no corners have been cut. You're using the best materials and taking the time to do it to perfection. Usually you only see this type of work in high end custom shops that cater to the one-off crowd that doesn't ask about the cost. Some really good ideas in this thread - it ought to be required reading for anyone contemplating a small CC rebuild.

I assume the console pod and teak cap trim will be "brightwork" finished. Awesome!
