Default Re: Opinions on a '77 Sceptre

I nearly pulled the trigger on an '80 or '84 with a 250 hp volvo penta (2001 re-power)that the dude was selling for 12K. Granted it looked sweet and was very current electonically, but because its virtually unknown in California he wasn't getting the action he'd hoped for. He sent an e-mail quoting me 10K but I didn't think I could pull around hilly so. cal and baja with my Toyota T100 so I passed . Hell of a boat though. I think @ 5K for a 23 sceptre in better than decent cond. is fantastic. Good Luck! Remember one of the happiest days of owning a boat is the day you buy it! For me that was exponential joy when I found my Seafari cause it was still a Seacraft and I didn't have to buy another truck
