Forget I am in the fiberglass repair business, but are you out of your mind? But please don't even think of doing something like that half ass, it is not safe and a very bad idea. We do many transom replacement on 23's and the advantage price is $6000.00. That should be the ballpark for a professional quality repair with the removal and re installation of the motor. I normally don't reply or get involved in the repair discussion unless I am asked but this really concerned me, so don't get pissed at my frankness it just that I was concerned. Feel free to call me anytime.
