The switches are actually push buttons with separate LED indicator lights below. The labels above the switches are a single "rub down" transfer applied to the dash before the final coats of clear.

The hard top weighs about 50 lbs.

Considering the excellent and trick things you've done here, I beg your pardon for this question...
The instrument panel appears to be set on a hinging prism of sorts that closes flush to hide/protect everything when not in use. Is that right?

That's right. The top of the console is basically three pieces: the rear and forward sections are fixed, and the instrument panel is mounted to the underside of the middle section which rotates via a 12v linear actuator.







The instrument panel alone.
