I have a F250 Yamaha on a 23' Sceptre (Endured) and twin F150's on a 23' Savage (Deuce). The single is almost 1 mpg better than the twins. Other than that, the "normal" performance numbers are almost the same. The "hole shot" and following sea performance of twins is better. Both boats have Armstrong brackets and 140 gal fuel tanks.
The single is my freshwater boat and the twins are my offshore application. When you are 60 miles offshore, there is "something" about having two engine back there. May just be a "head" thing. Fuel milage winner (single) "head" thing winner (twins)

Hate to say it but I never tried. Maybe I can answer that question in March. Come on Spring Time.
