Guys,
I'm having trouble getting to the washers and nuts under the port side stern cleat on my 20' CC. I'm trying to replace the cleat. This is the one on the same side as the livewell, so you can't access. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get in there to get a wrench on the nut? Thanks. ![]() |

Maybe use toggles - I have a Master Angler and haven't figured out how to at anything in the corner

How about drill out the bolt from the topside. The nut will drop down. Replace with a toggle. May work...

Drilling works fine until the nut, washer and bolt start to spin. Now you have the same problem and an ugly bolt head. You could cut the cleat and bolts with a sawzall but I do not have a good solution for replacement.

I drill an small access hole with a hatch (about 4") ... figured that would be the best way to get to the nuts and washers.
