Looks like maybe the Scepter's had the V-drive and CC's were straight inboards? That engine box appears to be further aft than the console on a cc.

Here's the CC version (I think I posted the Sceptre link)...
http://www.classicseacraft.com/SF23inboard.htm It looks like the shaft angle is the same but I suppose for the sake of balance or fit they would have moved the engine fore or aft as necessary. Interesting point about the v-drive vs straight inboard, Denny. They don't mention the v drive on the CC but they share the same transmission...Happy Labor Day Weekend!
