It's a MerCruiser, I called Mercury today (1/04/10) and was told the old info was on paper & they never upgraded to the computer and that I was "Sh*t out of luck". But I will look for any numbers I can find. Once I have that info I can order from NY after I return there.

If original, the drive is a 1st generation drive. I have a friend who has had his '72 Seafari since new. It came with a 140hp Mercruiser with a Gen I drive. He repowered in the mid 80's to a 3.0L 130 hp with an early Alpha drive. I was the Dockmaster at the SeaCraft dealership where we serviced lots of these.
