Motor looks good. As far as the cap I would run a bead of 5200 between the hull and cap it then bolt it together. It would not be that much more expensive.

Engine is a 357 Magnum/ 275 HP Carb engine. Dd not go with efi as hp exceeds limit for Alpha Gen 2 Drive. Also efi MUST utilize a thru hull raw water pick up. There is also the weight issue of the bravo drive at 200+ pounds. Did not want to spring the bucks to change over to Bravo set up.

Happens to also be a Yamaha tech. Marine business really sucks in this area.
