Default Re: Inboard diesel 1974 23' seacraft potter hull

The engine has max 2,500 hours on - which is nothing for this one. It was originally takeout from 26' Fortier. It was always well maintained. I have original survey for it when I bought it.Last owner/marine mechanic ran 55 mile trips tO BB tuna fishing with no problem. I had all injectors rebuilt, new exhaust elbow, new ignition module, new tach, coolant replaced every year and so on. Boat was never kept in the water (lift kept or indoor kept. I can not guarantee the motor , but nobodu else can either after tha factory warranty is out. All I can say that it always start on the first and I was never towed back form my trip. The batterrie are 6 mos old. If I had newer and bigger engine in it I would be asking at least 10 -15k more. There are plenty of used engines for sale at 10k to make it better or faster if you wish. I understand that everybody wants to get bargain. I bought this boat for 25k and spent 25k to make it better. I think if I can get 25k for it now it would be more than fair. 50 cents on a dollar is pretty good bargain.
