Caymanboy thanks for the info. it is raised to 25 the previous owner had the transom done about 7 years ago. i drilled 4 small holes across the transom at equal lengths a few inches from the bottom and the wood is dry, so my next question is , what are knees? is that like a gusset? or the stringer peice that missing were the bait well used to be? thanks again.

Unhappy

i just noticed this as well, should i be worried about even using the boat at this point? they a very fine hairlines i think, just at the edge of the hard area of the transom edge. i would like to use it this summer thats why we bought it, but i dont want to put the family at risk if it isnt safe. what are your thoughts? thanks again.

Can't tell by the pics.
Has the transom been replaced? Can you post better pics? Of the inside bilge, forward looking aft at transom.
You should at least have someone look at it (professional) and give you a determination.
Seems to me, if transom is dry, it has been replaced and maybe they didn't tie it in to well.

Caymanboy on the fist page of this thread i have a link to see the pics of the bilge, sorry i posted them on another thread, (my bad) please take a look a see what you think. my buddy seems to think they didnt go edge to edge with new wood, but instead they went from about 12 inches from the edges and around the stringers without tying the one where the original baitwell was on the side that is cracking. thanks for looking.
