Default Trim & Tilt question

I have a Merc Black Max connected to a Merc Binnicule.
The harness starts the engine fine
Coming out of my binnicule the is a 3 wire set the finishes with a plug that goes to something.
I imagine that this is for the trim to work from the binnicle.

I imagine that I need what ever plugs into the 3 wire set/plug and that that goes somehow to the engine. Selenoid / relays??????

So what do I need to get it to work?

Please enlighten me

Did some digging under the console and got the wiring done for the trim

I have a bad selenoid and I know that I need some trim fluid.

Now I need to figure out the way to add the fluid and get it working right.

Thanks for the advise given

Evan I will call you this weeek

if i remember for fluid you use regular atf. i have it in mine for years now with not issues. if you want to drain it i think you can remove the white manual release valve and the fluid should come out. i will look into the filler procedure for you.

On the solinoid - the outboards have little rubber grommets and the mercruisers don't - same one - those are some damn expensive grommets LOL - save the old ones and use them. I tried a NAPA one which is Sierra, only lasted a year so went back to Merc but the dealer found that little trick with the grommets
