I just went out and measured the distance between the av plate and the top of the mounting bracket that would sit on the transom and actually have 26". This is an older Johnson. Maybe the new Etec's are the same. If thats the case, you could end up with the av plate set 1.5" above the keel...

This is what I said to do - measure the motor bracket from where it would sit on the transom to the Cav plate - we still don't know this measurement - I doubt its 25" ?? Like he said if its actually 26" like his and you have 27.5 your good. keep in mind that stilletto prop lets me run mine that high, most props wouldn't let you do that - 1.5" should be good
