I run a T8 8hp yamaha kicker on my boat, and it sits for fairly long periods with no use.It pulls the fuel uphill thru two 10 micronfilters.

I have two water separator filters, one 10 micron the the tank outlet, and another at the main engine(I/O).
I have the fuel line for the kicker connected to the spare output port on the second filter.I have the fuel primer bulb about a foot from the kickers fuel connection.
We troll for hours on end with no problem, the kicker pulls the fuel with no problem.I also run Startron as a rule whenever I put gas in the tank. Not sure if it really works, but so far after 4 years,(knock on wood, hope I'm not jinxing myself)I haven't had any carb issues.
