That might be easier said than done. Hermco or Jason may still be in touch with Bill Potter after he moved to Alaska. I wouldn't be surprised if he some made some arrangement with Bruce Brown Productions if they put $$$ into restoring the film. Jason has the VHS tape. I made a copy from VHS to DVD and sent it to Alex @ Bruce Brown Media in 2007.

The Bruce Brown video is 6 minutes, and doesn't show much that looks like A Long Way... So, how long is the film?

Default A Long Way in a Small Boat

Forty years have passed since I saw it, so I've managed to forget some of the detail such as the length, but it's a good show. The departure was delayed by weather. Finally the decision was made to go despite the weather. Next came a successful but somewhat unconventional launch. Once they get underway, there's lots of footage of the boats performing through many miles of very rough water.
