I also need one for my 20. Port side.

Did the scepters have the same ones? If so I may be of help.

I don't know if scepters were the same..I am kinda new to the SeaCraft game. I could make a mold and repro them out of fiberglass,any other interest out there??

Nobody knows this?seems to be a pretty common part to be missing on a classic...I will need two, anyone else ?

These drop in baskets were NOT part of the tooling on Potter built hulls.

Capt Chuck, thank you for that information..I guess that, those who would like them, will have to look on '80 and newer 23 Sea Crafts.would that be correct?

I really have not studied what went on with different SeaCraft models after 1981. Maybe the 20's had the inserts also? The major upside was different hulls were being built by different companies. They all had their ideas and made changes to the molds. The consistency of the Potter builts was lost.
I know some later hulls (I don't remember the year nor the company) were some of the 23's were produced with old / retired molds that had a "hook" on the inside step port side

Maybe some of the older members remember?

capt chuck there was one for sale a while back and it did have that hook in it on the port side. I think it was early 80,s cant remember exactly what year it was. I may have a old e-mail about it . I will look and see if I can fine it and post the year.i found the post it was on this site. it was a 1988 seacraft.posted by yachtie 10-17-14. buying my first seacraft,how does this one look. the post talks about the hook with great details and pic!!!!
