Bombardier got it right the first time with the Etec....

I have an 05' 200 HO, first year out, now 2015 and running fine, better than fine.
Amazing the way these motors start instantly every time, quietly purr, and power up as only 2 strokes do.

Prop testing today - 47 gps mph with a 17p but 6500 rpm; 49 gps mph with a 19p but 6100 rpm; shop is getting a 18p to try for 6300 rpm. Started chine walking with the 19p. All props 3 blade. Engine height looks good. Boat was light - only 35 gallons of gas and two regular size people. Best it ever did with the 250 OX66 was 42 gps mph with 17p at 5600 rpm. I'm hoping it will be pretty economical at cruise.

Very nice!! I see you have it up on the third hole which looks pretty good on the cav plate. I tried to help my brother last Saturday raise his 200 HO etecs up two holes because his cav plate is way too low , the two more holes is a high as it will go. As luck would have it the two lower bolts were galled on the port engine. Rest assured the installer knew they were galled, don't ask us if we were pissed!!! Anyway I'm jealous of your setup!! Keep us informed how it's going!
