Addie, I sit way in the back of my boat and let the dive gear and dead fish take a pounding - but it was wet when the wind was blowing. I folded some sheet metal on the brake, laid up a couple of very thin "L's", cut them every 4" to relieve the profile, taped the hull off and screwed them temporarily to the hull. Then I built them up to 1/4" thick, unscrewed them, filled the holes, ground the hull a little to remove Carl's 45 year old gelcoat, gelcoated them, and glued them on with epoxy. Dried thigs up nicely for me, although it has the typical Marshtackie "non-skid" Commercial Finish schedule! That was 6 yrears ago and not one hairline crack. No salt water in the solo cup on the way home is always a plus.
