Nice deer but how did you miss with a rifle at 50-60 yards? Maybe Santa will bring you a new scope. Just kidding of course. Strong work. Now go get that bear!

The rifle that I was using was my sons. He was there with me and too shook up to take a shot at him and passed the gun to me. He has been carrying it into the woods all year and we have a ways to walk to get to the stand. We go threw thick woods so he beats it into everything. It is defiantly time to so some target practice and dial it back in.

After 2 down I'm making the boy take a shot at the next one. He is a better shot than me. Just gotta get is nerves under control. I'm going to set up my fake deer and let him shoot from the stand this weekend so he is more confident.

If that rifle of his has iron sights and you guys hunt in close quarters, leave that scope off for a while. Practice with those irons and he'll be better off in the long run. Scopes at close range can be a hindrance unless it's a true 1x. Just my $.02
Nice racks by the way..
