There is no problem. What you are experiencing is torque over from swinging the 16" Suzuki props. Denny is right though and you need to be mounted as high as you can stand.

The big diameter props work fantastic on these motors but the blade size does create the issue. I have run smaller diameter props in a multitude of configurations just to end up going back to the Suzuki (Powertech) props as they work the best in just about every application for our hulls and the motor. You can get a little bit of help with the torque tab but ultimately you will have to compensate with a little tab or movable load on the deck. No biggy either way. I have played a lot with the engine height on my new 300 and arrived at a point bliss so to speak. The magic sweet spot for me is a 16x18.5" prop that holds in all sea conditions but will start to cavitate on hard turns in the channel. If I was using the boat to pull a skier I would have to lower it but across the board I am good.

One thing to understand about props that are max in diameter just clearing the AV plate is that they will cavitate easier due to them running so high and close. A smaller diameter prop could run fine with the AV plate up much higher but with the 16" props.... not so much.
