Default Mad Matt

Man that thing ran up the right coast of Florida like an 8" angle grinder with 80 grit paper. We wore it down a little but you Georgia and South Carolina guys are in for 12 hours of a "dusting off". Think about easing to a little higher elevation real estate.
Still waiting for Jorge, Tiny, Ryan, Skiblet, PigSticker, Pelican and a couple of others to check in. Heard from Capt Lloyd, Bushwacker, Bumpdraft, GFS, Carla and RickG and NoBones. Hopefully everyone's OK with just chit to clean up.
Ken, Does Area 442 need a Vodka drone air drop yet?
Take care everyone and be safe with down power lines.

Dropped into Palatka to watch it go by. Power went out about 7am. Yard is a giant mess but the boats are fine. Just enough minor damage to show what needs to be beefed up. Dock seems ok even though the boards are barely awash - every other dock in sight is either damaged or destroyed though. Fortunately the surge got here after most of the waves started going away from our side of the river. Gen is purring along as we wait for line power to come back.

I'm in Aiken. Have security cameras at the house and power is still on. Raining but doesn't look bad at our house on JI yet. This is security camera video, if it'll upload.

Fiancé sent me this picture. This is Ashley Ave downtown, taken from the MUSC pedestrian walkway over Ashley Ave.

Made it through ok. No power or water. Minor damage. Seacraft is fine. Just a few scratches from wind blow debris.

Back home in Satellite Beach. No damage to my house and the boats are fine. Just a messy yard.

Everyone stay safe during the clean up.

Lloyd

Bones had to raise hell to get the county out to cut the
roads clear of trees.

He and Patti say hello from 442

He wanted to text a pic of him holding a line whilst on the phone
with county...

Glad to hear how the brethren have faired(nice pictures)......Matthew was quite the storm. On my way back from Yale I stayed in Dunn, NC yesterday. Drove 401 and 501 to get to I95 at South of the Border, SC.(I95 was closed from Dunn to the SC line). NC and SC has been killed with water AND trees. Cape Fear basin area was getting crazy with rising water yesterday! I must have seen 300 power trucks leaving FL and heading to the area. My brother lives on Wilmington Island, next to Tybee. He did not get flooded out there, but trees everywhere.
