I had the same issue on my 2006 Etec 150. The throttle adjustment was out of control and throwing passengers to the forward bulkhead before I took it in for service. Dealer could not find any issues until they river tested it. They returned it to me as dangerous as when I dropped it off.

It was as if you were using a worn out old hand control on a slot car. The rheastat was worn in the middle of throttle position, so you had all or nothing and the car would fly off the track at every turn. I did not want to take the boat back.

Ultimately I replaced the factory blue cables out, engine was in a crate until 2009, and in 2016 had 275 hours on it when I bought the SeaCraft. The new Extreme cables ended that. Why? I have no idea. Bushwacker tried to help out with TPS and dealer had no idea. Frustrating at best!!!
